Science on the Go comes to Walnut School 3 or 4 times every year. Our latest assembly covered rocks and minerals. Students were able to learn about differentiate between different rocks and minerals and how to determine the “hardness” of these objects.
This is information that fifth grade students must know for the California Standards Test in May, so this assembly is very timely. The students enjoy these programs because they not only get to see and observe “science” but experience it “hands on”. |
