At the August 26th Certificated Staff Back-To-School Staff Development Day, the 2008 Teacher of the Year for the La Habra City School District, Krista Desatoff,  is pictured following her inspirational presentation where she shared her experience as a teacher.  Krista has taught 3rd grade at Walnut School since 1995.  She is described as one who exemplifies everything that teaching is about:  high standards for children, a passion for excellence, firm, fair and consistent discipline and excellent communication with children, parents and staff. 

Krista holds herself to high standards and along with her calm and caring demeanor, is highly respected by children, parents and staff.  She believes no one succeeds beyond his or her wildest expectations unless he or she begins with some wild expectations!  Krista was honored at a special celebration at the Disneyland Hotel along with other Orange County Teacher of the Year Nominees.
