This year's Classified Dinner was a huge success. We were very happy to see so many of our school staff present at the Classified Employee Recognition Dinner held on Thursday, November 12th.
The highlight of the evening was when April Adame, a Special Education Assistant at Washington Middle School, was recognized as the District Classified Employee of the Year for 2009-10 [link]. April was selected from a list of 8 employees who had been nominated by their peers as candidates for this distinct honor.
California School Employees Association representatives, Julie Knierim and Brigitte Gonzalez were present to award service pins to the following Classified staff members:
5 YEARS—Suzie Alviso, Leandro Ascencio, Danelle Bautista, Lorinda Cabral, Julie Cruz, Bertha Gaillour-Parfitt, Adrianne Gomez, Patricia Meili, Kelli Murphy, Sylvia Ojeda, Veronica Pedroza, Regina San Miguel, Benita Silva, and Tom Velasquez.
10 YEARS—Kerri Barnett, Yolanda Cornejo, Lorraine Garcia, Robbie Gelinas, Carol Holman, Petra Magdaleno, Carlos Menendez, Araceli Mory, Deborah Oelke, Martha Pena, David Soto, Doris Stites, Rosa Valdivia, Sally Viles, Marina Zambrana, and Marta Zavala.
15 YEARS—Ed Anaya, Sara Ayala, Cynthia Legaspi Morgutia, Twila May, Frances Nuñez, and Armida Padilla.
20 YEARS—Constance Aguilera, Mildred Brown, Lorna Dacuycuy, Sue Fiumetto, Natalie Ledieff, Ron Muetzel, Cerise Outhier, and Sandra Velez.
25 YEARS—James Canfield
30 YEARS—Marie Degregorio, Felicitas Navarro, and Robert Redondo.
